Yep. We'll Talk About It!: Vaginismus

I get that Fantasy Minx♥️ blogs need sex appeal, self love and humour.. But also, FM♥️ needs to

be informative and helpful with relevant content.

So, with no apologies - here’s an overview of Vaginismus.

The number of people who have vaginismus in the UK isn’t accurately known, but

if we talk about it, it allows us to all be educated.

Vaginismus is the involuntary tensing of vaginal muscles, making any type of penetration

(tampons, toys or penetrative sex) difficult, painful, often stinging or burning sensations and

in some cases, feels impossible.

Some people have described it as the vagina feeling like ‘a brick wall.’

There are two types

1. Primary-meaning the vagina has never been penetrated.

2. Secondary-where someone was previously able to have penetrated sex and now cannot.

There are known causes of this condition such as a thick hymen, trauma, surgery, shame, and

believing that sex is dirty.

But Vaginismus doesn’t stop sexual arousal!

If you recognise the signs and symptoms, or have any unexplained pain please contact a GP or

sexual wellbeing clinic for professional help advice and support.

Education is the way forward to better understanding our bodies and sex.

Knowledge can give us an emotional lift, enhancing our self esteem and confidence as well as

a sense of control often makes us more proactive!

As Marilyn Monroe stated..

“Sex is part of nature. I go along with nature”

Here's to an enjoyable sex life for all,

Pleasure Seekers. ♥️
