Hello, beautiful people.
Today is all about Edging! (Sometimes called ’surfing’)
Edging is a way of controlling when to orgasm, deciding when our bodies can and can’t climax.
It has often been used by the BDSM community as an erotic form of sexual denial with
a feeling of extreme sexual control by the Dominant and intense feelings of sexual
objectification by the submissive.
Now, edging is in everyday language and used as slang, thanks to Gen Z.
So, what is edging?
Edging is for anyone - regardless of gender or sexuality, and often results in extremely intense orgasms.
Stimulate the penis or clitoris until the feeling of nearing the orgasm, then stop for a
short period, 30 seconds or so.
This is commonly done to the penis by squeezing the end until the feeling subsides, then
continue stimulation and repeat until ready to orgasm.
With the clitoris - stimulate, pause for 30 seconds and repeat.
Deep breathing and opening your eyes during the pause will help reduce the feelings of arousal
until the stimulation begins again.
When you are ready, allow the orgasm and enjoy the intensity.
Fun Fact: Penises often use more semen when ejaculating this way!
Knowing our bodies is so important, as I always say. Like all new sexual experiences Edging
takes time and patience.. but it’s worth it, I promise!
Nipple teasing, oral sex and toys are great ways to practice. But to be honest, solo masturbating
is a great way to pleasure yourself and learn how to get THE orgasm you dream of with edging,
and also this will bring about a self confidence and self esteem boost, with greater enjoyment
all round.
As we become more confident and explore the excitement, it helps us to improve stamina and a
more satisfying sexual encounter with partner(s).
Please remember to discuss openly and frankly with partner(s), Never Edge someone without
consent.
Also - dental dams and condoms are a great way to help prevent STIs.. your local sexual health
and wellness clinic are there to give everyone free support and advice :)
